Dawn founded her own company in 2005 and has been flying ever since. She is highly regarded around the world for her lyrical work on the trapeze and has performed in New Zealand, Norway, Canada, Ireland USA and Australia so far. She loves to travel to the lights, but also enjoys the red earth and bringing her art to remote communities.
Dawn has degrees in Circus (and Circo Arts NZ) and Theatre (WA Academy of Performing Arts). For the past 10 years she has been merging these genres together and has produced many shows such as the
aerial spectacle show ‘Elements’ which performed to thousands of people in the centre of Perth city; ‘Candy Girls’ performed at Perth’s Royal Show, Freo Street Arts Festival, Fringe World and has a Canada tour later in the year; ‘She Dances in the Dark’ winner of ‘Best Production Team’ at The Blue Room Theatre 2011, nom ‘Best Circus Show’ at Fringe World 2012 and performed at the Irish Aerial Dance Fest; Cirque Appetit had a sold out season in the Spiegel Tent; The Life of Eileen won ‘Best Solo Show’ at Wellington Fringe; ‘So, there’s a blonde, a brunette and a red head’ toured to Norway.
Dawn’s company sees her performing at festivals, city councils and corporate events all over WA and around the globe. She has performed for Tarvydas at Perth Fashion Festival, the Irish Aerial Dance Fest, Perth’s Royal Show, World of Wearable Arts Wellington, Esperance, Joondalup Festival, Freo Street Arts Festival and for hundreds of corporate companies.

Dance Trapeze

Dawn has specialised in the dance trapeze since 2005 and she has made her own style which is both graceful and filled with the highest skills.
The thing that attracts Dawn to this apparatus is the creativity it inspires. She is constantly creating new movements and ‘tricks’ so that her work is always innovative and beautiful.

Double Trapeze

Two elegant ladies go between synchonised dance and drops, spins and entwining in images where you will not know who is catching who. It is a game of trust, where the artists really have their partners life in their hands.
This act isnt just about the tricks though. It is intricately choreographed so that every movement has a story or intention. The ‘tricks’ come without seeing the artists preparing for it. One minute you’re enjoying the two bodies entwining, and the next moment one of them has dropped 2 metres and is caught by the feet.
