Zoe
Zoe Robbins was member of Australia’s leading youth circus – The Flying Fruit Fly Circus for eight years, where she was introduced into the art of foot juggling by her trainer, Mr Lu a former member of the Shanghai Circus. In 2008 Zoe was accepted into the Beijing International Arts School in a one year program to further her foot juggling skills. On returning to Australia in 2009 she established A4 Circus Ensemble and was a successful recipient of a number of grants from; Australia Council – Theatre Board Youth Initiative/Creative Development, Sparks – Foundation for Young Australians & Hothouse Theatre Month in the Country Program. These funds assisted in the creation of a 40 minute physical theatre floor-based show called DownPour which was inspired by Fyodor Dostoevsky’s short story White Nights. Zoe just embarked on A4’s first international tour, where herself and the cast of four performed at the very first Montreal Circus Festival.
