Sam has been training circus arts for over 12 years and specializes in performing duo trapeze, juggling, aerial straps, and Russian bar. He has trained under Yuri Bozyan (straps) and Veronique Thibeault (duo trapeze). In 2006 Sam performed in the 8th annual International Circus Festival of Latina in Italy with his duo trapeze act and won a special award from the family presenting the festival. His duo trapeze number has been presented not only at the festival in Latina in 2010, where it won the Journalistic Jury Award, but also winning a bronze medal in the Wuqiao Circus Festival, China in 2011 and appeared on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” season six (2011).

Straps

Sam performs an act on the aerial straps which displays his strength and endurance. Sam uses the two nylon straps to roll up, twist, and perform strength-based acrobatic elements in the air. This act can be done dynamically (with a winch or motor) or can be statically rigged.
