Born in Broken Hill, Australia, it wasn’t until after moving to Albury Wodonga that Oliver discovered his passion for circus. After taking some initial classes at The Flying Fruit Fly Circus, Oliver was immediately hooked. He then spent the next three years training, focusing on fixed trapeze and aerial tissu, as well as taking supplementary classes in acrobatics, handstands, dance, and more. After graduating in 2009, Oliver spent the following year working, teaching and training, most notably performing in DownPour by A4 Circus Ensemble in their Montreal season, as part of the city’s first edition of ‘Montreal Completement Cirque’. Oliver also performed with the company in Sydney and Melbourne. Deciding to focus on training, Oliver moved to Montreal in the beginning on 2011. After spending his first year working with a number of highly skilled trainers and artists, Oliver was then accepted into Ecole Nationale de Cirque, where he is now in the process of obtaining his diploma of circus arts. In 2013 Oliver spent three months touring the province of Quebec with ‘Le Fabuleux Cirque Jean Coutu’, performing and teaching workshops.
