Elise – otherwise known as White Diamond is a professional aerialist and dancer who specialises in Aerial Silks, Aerial Ring, Spanish Web, Static Trapeze, Aerial Rope and Bungee. Elise’s professional training has taken her all over the globe, from the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) in Australia to the renowned Toronto School of Circus Arts (TSCA) in Canada. In addition to her circus training Elise undertook 3 years of intensive full-time dance training under the instruction of Robert Sturrock. Her extensive training and performance background has allowed Elise to fuse dance and circus into a truly remarkable and unique experience. Approximately 60 percent of individuals in custody in Australia have been imprisoned before. A large percentage of offenders of heinous crimes were once victims of abuse. It is extremely difficult to understand that the victim and the offender are often the same person. Government reforms such as a greater focus on rehabilitation programs, are essential in order to reduce recidivism. Preventing re-offending is the most effective way to reduce the rate of crime. I have created an abstract act that uses the rope/corde lisse to symbolise hope and the cyclical nature of abuse, in order to highlight the issues within the criminal justice system.

Chikara is an abstract representation of female empowerment and strength. I wanted to embody the qualities of a strong, fit, confident and assertive woman who follows her dream and her passion, regardless of what hurdles she has to overcome. Chikara means ‘strength’ in Japanese, and I was inspired by my years of living in Japan when I created this act. Chikara represents devotion, humility, love, joy, passion, purity, concentration, patience, self-discipline and self-discovery. Duo Rope – Tarzan and Jane |

Elise plays Jane and her extremely strong aerial and adagio partner plays Tarzan in this sexy duo aerial rope routine. Tarzan is constantly hunting for food in the jungle but Jane wants him to stay by her side or go with him as he climbs through the vines in the jungle. Superhuman feats of strength are displayed as Jane hangs off Tarzan’s ankles while he is holding onto the rope with his bare hands, and she sits on his shoulders as he climbs up the rope!

Duo Silks – Black Caviar |

‘Black Caviar’ is performed by Elise and Michael on opposite sides of a venue or function hall. It can be performed behind chiffon curtains to create a shadow effect or under normal lighting. This routine creates a mirrored effect as both aerialists dance and perform acrobatic aerial tricks at the same time. This routine is perfect for a dramatic effect at a large function hall or event as well as at smaller venues that have access to two rigging points. This routine can also be performed as a solo act.
