A young French artist, Charles started his career by chance in the artistic world, when in 2006 he replaced an injured acrobat from French National Circus ‘Alexis Gruss’.
After a season with this circus performing ground and horse acrobatics, he trained and created an aerial straps act. Followed this he was selected for and won young talent prize at the 2nd International Circus Festival of Tours.
Now Charles works in the world of variete, festival, circus and evening events.

Aerial Straps

I don’t know if you’ve had the chance to visit the Sistine Chapel at St. Peter’s Basilica. It’s wonderful when you look up and discover the magnificent paintings of Michelangelo, where we can see a multitude of angels. By definition, angels are always represented with wings, but some people think that they lose their wings when they reach a certain degree of perfection.
If you don’t believe me then just take a look at Charles Angel… He flies above the stage with grace and elegance. Charles defies gravity in an aerial straps act in which he twirls, dips and glides in the air performing acrobatic figures. The performance uses a combination of skill, agility and strength.
